It’s been a hard couple of days for our small community with the extremely tragic passing of a great father, a husband and a mate, a loss that is being felt right up and down the coast. These kind of things hit very hard, and so I have postponed a few shoots I had scheduled for the week and heading home to the West Coast to be with my friends and family. I gratefully thank those who I was meant to work with this week for their understanding.
At a time like this, I am once again reminded of the importance of family – the one true constant love in our life. You become thankful for every moment that you can spend together, and cherish each of your memories – both the tough and terrific.
I am so looking forward to getting home and holding my dear nieces, not to mention the other members of my family (animals included – I miss you too Rayn!). I am going to take this opportunity to see my friends, and take a few days off work – something I have allowed to consume all of my time of late. This tragedy has shown me, there is truly more to life, and its so sad that it takes something like this to make you stop and see how truly lucky you are.
And me being me – I am likely to pull out my camera and take some photos of my beautiful family so that the next time that I have to be away, I have these captured memories to hold close to me to remind me of the importance of the love of family.
“Imagine if you woke up today with only what you thanked God for yesterday.” Think about it.
Now to share some images from a session with a gorgeous young family….. xx
