Last Saturday I was in Mount Gambier for the wedding of two lovely people, Sara + Tim (Tj). They were married at Sheriff Muir Gardens, which are just incredible and so hard to believe that this beautiful location is hidden on a private property… the gardens go on for acres and are just so pretty and well manicured. I just loved seeing Tim’s face when he saw his beautiful wife-to-be for the first time. Sara and her Dad looked so happy walking down the isle.
Gorgeous little Isla (their daughter) may have stole the show during the vows, managing to draw all the attention her way for just a few seconds.
You know I love the how they met stories… Here is theirs by Sara.
“We first met walking out of the pub and we were introduced by a mutual friend. I thought Tj was pretty cute, we got talking and turned out he played footy with a bunch of my friends from high school. He asked for my number & called me the next day to organise a dinner date. When he picked me up my mum was watching and knew he was a keeper when she watched him open the car door for me…. haha”
And.. I just had to include the proposal story as well…
“I had no idea Tj was going to propose; he kept the secret so well.
It was a couple of weeks after our 5th anniversary, Tj told me he had organised for us to do a flight over the Nullarbor & see the whales. We set off and while we were enjoying the view and watching the baby whales with their mums, as we came over the cliffs the pilot told me to look down to the ground at my right. There was a big sign which read “Marry me Sara” and then Tj pulled out the ring box. I cried a lot, so much that the pilot asked me if I was ok!”
