Talia and Jared planned a very intimate wedding for the day they declared their love, choosing to celebrate in front of less than 50 guests. “We have no bridal party, as we are having a very small wedding that is full of our immediate family and our closest friends. It would be way too hard to chose!’ However, they did have two adorable flower girls, Lilah – Talia’s niece, and Isabella, Jared’s niece.
They held their wedding in Port Lincoln, as it was like a destination wedding for them. “We love Port Lincoln! We want a very relaxed day, not too much stress, and a day spent with our amazing family and friends, romantic, elegant, classic and simple.” The Adelaide couple chose Boston Bay Winery for their wedding ceremony and Port Lincoln Hotel for their wedding reception.
“I enjoyed the wedding planning, although I’m definitely not in any hurry to do it again! We have had lots of friends and family get married over the time we have been engaged so I have pulled things that I have like from parts of their weddings. Pinterest is also a big idea helper! I have had lots of help from my mum and mother-in-law and sisters…even Jared has helped….a little!’
There were special family touches in their wedding day – Talia had a brooch, a family heirloom, that she used in her bouquet. “All the women in my family use it on their wedding day!” Her mum’s business, Sweet Love Cakes by Alison, was also where they got their wedding cake, and the mothers were the signing witnesses on the marriage certificates.
Even though it was a super warm day that was surprisingly humid for Port Lincoln, it was so much fun to document your wedding day. Thank you for the honour of allowing me to meet your parents, family and friends.
Talia and Jared planned to make the most of their destination wedding and having fun with their family and friends, and even planned shark cage diving for the Sunday after their wedding, before their Bali honeymoon. Hope you had a great time guys!!
