Seppeltsfield Winery | Barossa Wedding Venue

In February of this year I was lucky enough to play an important (and utterly scary) role in a great friends wedding – Jasmin had asked me to be her MC! Not only was it an honour to be considered special enough to be take on the role as a young female MC (not entirely common) but it was fantastic fun to play host at such a beautiful wedding venue – Seppeltsfield Winery in the Barossa Valley.

This beautiful heritage listed winery has many areas where a lucky bride can hold their reception, but Jas chose the gardens and with the summer light shining through the beautiful bright green trees it was a perfect opportunity for stunning wedding photos. After the ceremony, we moved to a different courtyard area where we had pre reception drinks while the bridal party had their photos taken.

It was the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony, and while the same areas could have been dressed with beautiful lighting to make a truly magical outdoor wedding reception, Jasmin was lucky enough to pioneer a wedding in an area yet to hold a wedding. With rustic wine barrels dotted with lighting as a backdrop and a roof draped with tulle and a chandelier, the whole space was transformed into a sparkling, beautifully lit wedding venue with plenty of room for guests, tables, and dancing!

Seppeltsfield Winery is the kind of wedding venue that could be dressed up to suit any wedding theme, but I can imagine it would make a wonderful venue for a rustic themed wedding or even an outdoor wedding covered in fairy lights, my eyes are sparkling just thinking about it! From food and drink to decorations and timeline planning, the team at Seppeltsfield would be able to make any of your wedding dreams happen, and I was glad they were on my team on Jas and Matt’s wedding night – I would have been a much more nervous MC if they weren’t!

I was very privileged to be a part of this wedding, and lucky to have my eyes opened to the beautiful wedding venue that is Seppeltsfield Winery. Jade recently stopped by the winery for an engagement shoot which was unfortunately dampened by rain, but hopefully we can visit again when the light is golden, the weather is clear, and the wine is cold….for ‘research’ of course.
