Carlene & Taylors Engagement Session

How do you know it’s true love? When the guy you’ve just met helps you ice your sunburn after a day of wine touring! “We first met at Barossa Valley Gourmet Weekend. We were introduced by my best friend and her boyfriend, as my friend knew the type of guy I was looking for, and her boyfriend knew Taylor from the gym.” Okay – so maybe it wasn’t that particular point in time that they truly fell in love, so what do Carlene and Taylor think?

Carlene: “I knew Taylor was the one when I started to miss him already as I would say goodbye.”

Taylor: “I knew Carlene was the one when we were lying outside looking at the stars one night and I felt like I could tell her anything and everything about myself. I had never felt that way about anyone before.”

This casual and relaxed couple just love to spend time together – in the summertime you will find them playing tennis, driving in Taylor’s Valiant and going out to new places for lunch or dinner, or just at the beach and catching up with some fantastic mutual friends.

Carlene: “Even after the worst day, everything is instantly better when Taylor puts his arms around me. He is the best listener and helps me through everything. I love him for that. He also gives me a massage whenever I complain that my back is sore- gotta love that!”

Taylor: “I love how caring and compassionate Carlene is, she is always there for me and others. I love her laugh. I love everything about her, I can’t even try to pinpoint something.”

“We had discussed weddings and getting engaged a few times, but I really didn’t see it coming so early. Taylor made several trips to Adelaide to get a ring made without me knowing (I still can’t figure out when he snuck those in!) and on the night, organised candles and music for a romantic, casual dinner. During dinner, we talked about how far we’ve come as a couple and when we finished out meal, he made a lovely speech about how much he loved me, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!”

Those trips to Bell and Brunt Jewellers to design the perfect ring. “Taylor and I have never posed for photos, so we thought it would be good practice for our wedding day. Bell and Brunt gave us the voucher and I felt it was a sign!”
