I introduced you to Kerrie and Jacob after their engagement shoot, and it wasn’t long after I posted their story that I joined them for their wedding at Boston Bay Winery in Port Lincoln.
I met with the bride and her bridesmaids at Tanonga Eco Lodges in Port Lincoln. Kerrie presented her beautiful friends with gorgeous Samantha Wills earrings and a heartfelt card that had the tears flowing! It was a lovely morning with equally as lovely girls. There were lace details on the soft purple bridesmaids dresses and they wore them in different styles to suit their different personalities.
Always thinking of their family, one of the things Jacob and Kerrie were looking forward to on their wedding day was seeing the look on their parents faces, and the celebration with family and friends, so it was a special moment when Kerrie got ready in the morning. You couldn’t wipe the gorgeous smile off of Kerrie’s face as she got dressed in her lace and beaded detail wedding dress and an even bigger one on her dads face after her big reveal. I think he loved his ‘Number 1 Dad’ cufflinks too – sweet touch!
It seemed like the time flew and the next thing I knew I was on my way to their ceremony location, and how gorgeous it was! There were flowers hanging in glass jars from the rotunda and the sides of chairs to match the stunning all white rose bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids. Jacob and Kerrie stood in front of lace curtains and Kerrie’s cathedral length veil blew elegantly in the wind – a magazine style moment though it might not have felt like it at the time. Yes that’s right, we were rained on again (#raincouldntstopus #jnbrides) and the wind scattered the rose petals lining the aisle over the grounds, but being the true professionals we are, we made the most of it having photos on the lawn with the confetti of petals.
I’d mentioned in their engagement shoot story their love of their dogs – well they were involved in the wedding! With a lacy bow and a white tie to match the bridal parties they were dressed to impress, and the rings were clipped to their collars for the big moment! They didn’t join us for bridal party photos however, but nevertheless we had a lot of fun (particularly with the veil and the boys!) and Kerrie and Jacob were ridiculously photogenic! Kerrie and Jacob were certain that they wanted some natural wedding photos in the country and winery setting, which I LOVED so we took advantage of the Boston Bay Winery surrounds and the beachy scenes. Then it was back to the winery for their wedding reception.
As well as tulle and fairy lights, the room was decorated with a chandelier and fresh flowers, which also topped the ruffled wedding cake. As I looked around the room, I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful it was, but what was more beautiful was the love and adoration in everybody’s eyes as they celebrated with Kerrie and Jacob. Nobody had eyes on the bride as much as her darling groom, in the years to come, they wanted to look back and recognise their “strength and close bond”.
“Jacob is carefree, loving, casual, and has a grounded nature. He is loyal, generous and supportive.” Kerrie also adores Jacob’s love for animals, life and family. This zest for life and cheerful attitude made doing their wedding photography so easy and it was a pleasure to join them on their wedding day.
