Jodie + Aaron’s Wedding Day

When I first met with Jodie and Aaron at their engagement session I just knew their wedding was going to be one special day. I always love documenting a wedding at a new venue (there are still so many places around Adelaide and South Australia that I haven’t worked at yet because I only have so many Saturdays in a year, and if I’m already booked for a date when a new inquiry comes in, well it means I just have to wait some more time until everything lines up). So all that being said, when Jodie told me that the venue was Adelaide Oval I was super excited.

When the wedding day came around, meeting all the special people in Jodie and Aarons life was just so lovely, and seeing the connection between Jodie, her Mum, Dad and her Pop, along with Aaron’s relationships with his Mum, and groomsmen were just beautiful.

The moment when Jodie and Aarons daughter tried on her Mums shoes was super cute…

Jack (their son) is a gorgeous young man, and the moment when he had tears running down his face at the ceremony melted everyone!!

The guys were just itching to get out on to Adelaide Oval and have a kick of the footy, and I just loved the message that was up on the score board!

I asked Jodie and Aaron what the most memorable moments for them where on their wedding day…

“The most memorable moments from the day for us were standing on Adelaide Oval in front of the historic scoreboard with our names and message up there and our dance where Aaron lifted me and swung me around. We had no dance lessons or practiced anything and it felt perfect to us. Also seeing the emotion from our son Jack at the alter as he watched me walk down the aisle and through out the ceremony. Plus he was a bit of a rock star through the reception including during his speech!

Aaron’s number one moment was watching me walk down the aisle. His quote ‘I always knew you were going to look beautiful but when you walked in a wave of emotion came over me and we just continued to smile and giggle with each other on the alter which I loved. Said Jodie”

Jodie’s number one moment was seeing Aaron with tears in his eyes as she approached him at the alter and he gave her ‘the smile’ that makes her melt. She felt like there was no one else in the room except the two of them.

Jodie + Aaron and your beautiful children, I wish your family every happiness for the future, and thank you for the privilege of allowing us to spend your wedding day with you xx
