Let’s face it – this wedding looks like it belongs in a magazine. From the moment Somma started sharing her wedding details with us at Jade Norwood Photography, we knew that it was going to be something special – and a lot of fun (how can it not be when the one word the groom chooses to describe the relationship is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious – shortened to ‘fun’ by Somma! Love you two o much…)
Their engagement story also cracks us up – on a weekend trip to Adelaide Josh and Somma went separate directions to shop up a storm. When Somma thought she’d better check her bank balance before she blew the lot, she noticed their joint savings account was looking a fair bit less healthy than the last time she had looked, “(I) questioned Josh about it,” Somma said. “This sped up Josh’s plan to propose! He still says he had a big romantic proposal plan but I question this!”
Both Josh and Somma were looking forward to the day that had been 18 months in the planning. “I have loved the majority of it, but some parts, lets just say I wish they organised themselves!” They were married in a beach wedding ceremony on the foreshore of Tumby Bay, South Australia, by wedding celebrant Angela Cordon.

Somma’s beautiful vintage style wedding dress was from Caleche Bridal, form fitted and with gorgeous beading detail and a sheer high neckline.
Bridesmaids fitted the elegant vintage theme perfectly with their dusky light pink dresses from Bridal on Pulteney. The wedding flowers were soft colours of white and pink to match the bridesmaid dresses and were gorgeous bridal bouquets to match the elegant vintage theme.
We took advantage of the beautiful country surrounds for their wedding photos, as well as getting some beach wedding photos on what was another stunning Eyre Peninsula wedding day. Somma and Josh wanted their wedding photos to show their ‘pure happiness’ and with a couple like this, it was hard not to deliver that wish!
They are such a laid back fun loving couple and so easy to work with for their wedding photography. “We do pretty much everything together and love everything, from spending time at home to travelling the world. We have lots of fun together.”
Their elegant and vintage themed wedding reception was held at the Tumby Bay Soldiers Memorial Hall, with decoration from Bay Funktion.
The wedding reception was just gorgeous and so much fun. The wedding cake was decorated with lace and pearl details much like the wedding dress.
Somma loves that Josh is passionate. Josh loves that Somma is caring. We love that Somma and Josh allowed us to be part of their beautiful wedding day! Wishing you both the world of happiness and can’t wait to catch up soon..xx
