Karina and Robert met at Uni – not because they were at the same Uni, but because a lecturer at Karina’s Uni left in her final semester; “we had to do an equivalent subject at Adelaide University instead. This is the subject where we met, you could say it was fate.”
They spent a lot of time in the Botanic Gardens on their Uni breaks getting to know each other, falling for each others sense of humour and random puns. Given it was where they spent a lot of time together, it wasn’t a strange suggestion that they go walking through the Botanic Gardens on the day they were to go suit shopping for Robert. “I hesitated and said shouldn’t we get the suit shopping over and done with first? But he told me it would only be a quick walk. I thought he was trying to get out of shopping because like most men, he hates it!” So through the Botanic Gardens they went, when all of a sudden it started to rain. “We ran for cover under this little sheltered tree in the middle of the rainforest, and that is when he got down on one knee and proposed! It is now ‘our tree’ and we plan on visiting it every year for our anniversary.”
When we met for their engagement shoot and did our best to replicate that beautiful day in the botanic gardens…sans suit shopping of course! Couple that with a gorgeous beach sunset and we had a magical engagement shoot in Adelaide. Karina’s circle cut diamond ring from Bell and Brunt was great choice by Robert, and lucky he was the one to choose it, because it seems that Karina might be a little indecisive! “Rob is a bit of a human calculator, and I always take too long to make a decision, especially what to wear or what to eat!” Well you looked fabulous in your white lace dress for your engagement photos Karina, I hope that was an easy decision!
Karina and Robert like to go for walks and watch movies together, spending time with family and friends, and just having fun with each other making quick witted jokes, being goofy on their car rides home, and sweetly- always holding hands. With their senses of humour and that of their friends, they are looking forward to what they think we will be unpredictable speeches on their wedding day, and dancing to their wedding song.
