Carla and Reece, thank you so much for choosing me to be part of such a special day, it was such an elegant wedding with so many laughs shared and many memories made in gorgeous locations!
To Maryanne and Stan a big thank you for making me feel so welcomed in your home and giving me the honor of treating me like family.
There were so many highlights for me and they very much coincided with Reece and Carla’s experience, when I asked them what was their favourites memories.
The moment when Stan handed over Carla to Reece infront of Father Kevin Hennessy, their parents, family and closets friends, I don’t think there was a dry eye in The Monastery.
I again was wiping tears away when Carla’s Mum, Maryanne got emotional during her reading and Father Kevin and the rest of the wedding guests joined in to assist!
The moment when Father Kevin Hennessy knelt down in front of the newly wedded couple, had me total shock, what enormous gesture… Just beautiful!
The time when we all got in gold buggies and visited gorgeous locations around The Mount Osmond Golf Club, apparently Reece was a little slow and James had take over… hahahah I was facing forward so who knows what really happened.. hahaha
Cheri the couples close friend was the best MC I have come heard, I was in stiches and not sure how I kept my camera steady while I was laughing.
The moment when James the Groomsmen sang “Tenerife Sea – Ed Sheeran as the newly weds had the first dance!! How special is that!
I absolutely love hearing how couples meet and I asked Carla that exact question. “I work at The Royal Adelaide Hospital as a Podiatrist and every Tuesday a few of my colleagues and I would run/ walk along the Torrens in our lunch hour. One September day, we were changed and ready to go – when we got to the main foyer to see it was pouring rain. Disappointed having got all geared up and unable to go, we headed back to our office when we saw a poster for the in-house gym – $10 for 10 days. So we thought why not, even if it was just the once! We wondered in and were guided through the circuit session by a nice young man, not bad looking either! Well two of the three of us decided we’d go back a few nights after work to make the most of the deal and the same trainer continued to be there and be very helpful at showing us technique! I can remember thinking how nice he was.
We then both decided to join up permanently and got to know so many of the ‘regulars’ it became a little work /gym family. All the while my friend kept saying I think that trainer’s keen for you and I’d shyly kept brushing it off. After a short while I learnt of a Saturday beginners cycling group through the gym which the certain charming trainer led. I was after a new hobby so I began to make inquiries and before I knew it he offered to take me bike shopping to pick out the perfect beginners bike. $1500 later I had a bike! My girlfriends thought I was crazy spending so much money to win over a boy and looking back it was so out of character for me!
But a week later we had our first date and you know what they say…the rest is history!”
Carla + Reece I hope that you both continual to love each other more each day and have a happy and healthy life together. xx
