Amanda and Mark had an extra special person officiating at their wedding, Amanda’s mum. In a very moving ceremony, Donna was their wedding celebrant, making their loving promises a real family affair. Their nieces, nephews and Godchildren were a part of their wedding and Amanda wore her Nan’s wedding ring to include her on their magical day. It was a beautiful way to include family in their wedding day.
I met with Amanda and her bridesmaids at The Playford Hotel as they were getting ready, and a beautiful bunch of flowers arrived for Amanda with a message from Mark, lucky girl! Her own flowers for the wedding were classic white roses with a pop of bright pink, which stood out against the black bridesmaid dresses – all in a different style. Amanda wore a stunning lace applique detailed dress. They all looked beautiful as they walked along the path to the outdoor wedding ceremony and it was such a heartfelt ceremony that you couldn’t help but feel the love and warmth between them all.
We made use of the park grounds for their natural wedding photos, which is the style of wedding photography that Amanda had wanted to emulate. That natural golden light through the trees meant we got exactly the look she was after (if the favourites in her gallery are anything to go by anyway…) The bridal party were a lot of fun – particularly the pageboy who definitely know how to throw a pose or two! Capturing the innocence of the younger members of the bridal party was beautiful.
They celebrated their marriage at the Adelaide Pavilion on the Park and the reception was beautiful. The caricature depicting their wedding was truly classic – something I’ve not seen before! There were rose petal scattered as the centrepieces on tables with birdcages and candles. In the place of seating cards there were small black frames filled with the guests names, and the cartoon like cake topper on their macaroon wedding cake included their little black dog – you can’t forget a single member of the family when you’re getting married!
The black and silver themed reception was set off against the polished wooden floors and roof, it was a classic look for a classic wedding. The Pavilion on the Park wedding venue was so open and bright with floor to ceiling glass windows showing off the park behind the bridal table. I genuinely enjoyed spending time with Amanda and Mark and their wedding guests and bridal party and hope they have a beautiful future as husband and wife.
