Christmas Gift Idea…

Christmas Gift Idea…

Not sure what to get your nearest and dearest this Christmas?

There are some people that are very talented at the art of gift giving – they just have the knack of finding the perfect present. But if you’re the kind of person that struggles, we have done the hard work for you!

This Christmas, why not give a Jade Norwood Photography voucher to your loved one – it is truly the gift of a beautiful memory! Vouchers can be printed and posted – or if you are running out of time, a digital copy can be sent, and can be for any amount that you choose.

Though some shy away from giving vouchers as Christmas presents because they think they lack feeling and thought, a Jade Norwood Photography Voucher shows just the opposite. By giving the gift of a photography session, you are allowing someone to capture their family, friends, partner or just themselves at a special moment in time – or perhaps a special moment they create! You are giving them the gift of beautiful art where they are the star. The gift of feeling special, important, beautiful. A gift that keeps on giving in the form of printed photographs, canvases and albums. A Christmas present that is truly cherished for a lifetime.

So ditch the socks, jocks and cashews this Christmas and give a Jade Norwood Photography Gift Voucher – and you’ll even kick Santa’s butt in the present stakes!

The Skinner’s Family Photos

The Skinner’s Family Photos

A little while back I headed out to the Skinners farm for their family photo session. It was a lovely night really, no clouds to be seen, but we had some gorgeous light amongst the trees; and oh so lovely down at the beach. Thank you all for being so easy to work with and having so many laughs with me…. xx

Having someone to love is a Family,
Having both is a blessing….”

Importance of Family

Importance of Family

It’s been a hard couple of days for our small community with the extremely tragic passing of a great father, a husband and a mate, a loss that is being felt right up and down the coast. These kind of things hit very hard, and so I have postponed a few shoots I had scheduled for the week and heading home to the West Coast to be with my friends and family. I gratefully thank those who I was meant to work with this week for their understanding.

At a time like this, I am once again reminded of the importance of family – the one true constant love in our life. You become thankful for every moment that you can spend together, and cherish each of your memories – both the tough and terrific.

I am so looking forward to getting home and holding my dear nieces, not to mention the other members of my family (animals included – I miss you too Rayn!). I am going to take this opportunity to see my friends, and take a few days off work – something I have allowed to consume all of my time of late. This tragedy has shown me, there is truly more to life, and its so sad that it takes something like this to make you stop and see how truly lucky you are.

And me being me – I am likely to pull out my camera and take some photos of my beautiful family so that the next time that I have to be away, I have these captured memories to hold close to me to remind me of the importance of the love of family.

“Imagine if you woke up today with only what you thanked God for yesterday.” Think about it.

Now to share some images from a session with a gorgeous young family….. xx

Scobie Snow Family Photos

The lovely Scobie family I met with in New South Wales. We were praying for snow, and there wasnt any, wasnt any, wasnt any, we went higher and higher up the mountain to try and find some snow; just a bit of white… Next minute the falling snow turned into an ice blizzard, this was my first time in snow; and I was like wow; so this is what snow is like… heheh The snow was so full on, inbetween us, my camera was focusing on the actually snow falling, it had no idea the family was even there! We decided there was just no hope and we could actually get stuck up the mountain, so we got back in the cars and start the slow trip back down the hill… It was so much fun, I had a ball! We found a spot about half way down where we could pull off and capture a few photos. You guys and your children were such great sports.. xx
