Married at The Lane Vineyard in Adelaide, Tanika and Daniel’s wedding can only be described as romantic and heartfelt, like their relationship. They met when Daniel was at Tanika’s house, watching the Superbowl with her brother, and as they describe it, it was all about ‘the fun we have had while falling in love.’
“Daniel is always there for me with a shoulder to lean on, even if I am being overly dramatic and completely irrational. I knew he was the one when I walked into my bedroom and one morning getting ready for work, and there he was all snuggled up fast asleep with my dog Bailey. It melted my heart then and still does to see it now.”
When one of Daniel’s friends passed, Tanika’s support drove home how much he loved her; “She was the one there for me and cared for me when I needed it most.” So he began planning the engagement for their Thailand holiday. “I had planned it for about 6 months, I felt extremely nervous!”
“After a long night of failed and missed dinner bookings, and a long walk back along the roadside, he proposed on the beach front. It all ended perfectly!”
Tanika was walked down the red carpet aisle to her beaming true love at The Lane Vineyard by her brother, flanked by her bridesmaids in navy one-shoulder dresses. Tied to her wedding bouquet of pastel pinks and purples, was Tanika’s mums ring, secured with rustic twine. Tanika wore beautiful flats to match, with sparkly ‘bling’ on the straps, to match the straps on her fishtail style gown.
The later ceremony start time meant Tanika and Daniel were showered in golden afternoon sunlight at their outdoor wedding ceremony. The gorgeous wedding venue of The Lane Vineyard at Balhannah in the Adelaide Hills offered a tonne of locations for them to have their wedding photos, the boatshed on the lake, the winery vineyards, and the long winery driveway. The love shone through their wedding photos which resulted in a tonne of photos for a natural and fun wedding gallery!
Back at the reception, also held at The Lane Vineyard, guests were seated at long tables decorated with rose petals and candles in glass jars decorated with lace. Fresh flowers in jars wrapped in decorated burlap also graced the tables and the wedding cake was wrapped in lace and topped with a ‘Mr and Mrs’ mini flag bunting – way too cute. After speeches from both the bride and groom, the happy couple shared dances with the special people at their wedding to celebrate well into the night
The Autumn wedding, photographed by Jade Norwood Photography Associate, Mary, was a beautiful and well thought out wedding, with lots of special touches enjoyed by the guests and a photo booth and guest signing book for Tanika and Daniel to enjoy after their big day. But as they swayed on the dance floor during their first dance, Tanika and Daniel were completely lost in that moment, not needing to think too far ahead. They were beginning their life together and nothing else mattered. Wishing you both all the very best xx
